Introduction
Environmental data on air, water, land and habitats usually sits in separate systems, which makes it hard to see the full picture in one place and over time. A digital twin brings that information together on a single 3D map, so trends and pressures can be monitored and explained.
Project info
- Client: A government environmental programme (confidential)
- Innpact role: Digital twin design and development
- Period: From October 2025 (in delivery)
- Location: United Arab Emirates
Scope
End-to-end development of an environmental digital twin interface that integrates GIS, environmental data and 3D visualisation, from design and feasibility through development, testing and handover.
Services Delivered
Design and Feasibility
We set out the platform architecture, assessed feasibility and defined the data the twin needs.
Core GIS and 3D Development
We integrated the core GIS layers and base environmental datasets and built the initial 3D model of the area.
Dashboards and Real-Time Data
We are adding dashboards, real-time data feeds and interactive visualisation so users can explore environmental conditions in context.
Testing, Go-Live and Handover
The remaining stages cover user acceptance testing, production deployment, documentation and knowledge transfer.
Results
- Platform architecture, feasibility assessment and data requirements completed.
- Core GIS integration, base environmental layers and initial 3D model completed.
- Dashboards and real-time integration in development, followed by testing and handover.
